Q: Can my child attend if he/she has a specific allergy?
A: Yes…We want to be a safe and healthy place for all children including those with allergies. Specific allergies will be noted on the application and posted in our kitchen areas. We will substitute menu items for your child when needed.
Q: How many teachers are with the children?
A: It depends on the age of the children.
Our ratios are as follows:
2 years old 1:6
3 years old 1:8
4 years old 1:12
5 years old 1:15
Q: How am I billed and how often?
A: Our daycare bills on a two week cycle and our Preschool bills monthly. Daycare bills come out by Wednesday every other week with charges from the previous two weeks. Our preschool bills are due on the 7th of every month.
Q: When do I need to pay my daycare bill by?
A: Daycare bills need to be paid by the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month.
Q: What happens if I am running late to pick my child up?
A: Please just give us a call to let us know. We understand that things come up that might cause you to be late. We request that you call to inform us so we can accommodate. If it is after the center closes we have a five minute grace period, then we do charge a late fee.
Q: What if my child is sick?
A: We wish children never got sick, but if they do please call and let us know. In order to comply with the County Health Department we must ask that if your child has vomited, had diarrhea, of has had a fever of 100 degrees of higher they can not be in the daycare or preschool for 24 hours.
Q: When does my child eat during the day?
A: We have breakfast from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., a snack at 9 a.m., lunch at 11:30 a.m., and an afternoon snack at 2:30 p.m.
Q: What does my child eat at daycare/preschool?
A: We serve a variety of healthy lunches and snacks. We serve a healthy balanced lunch with a protein, grain, vegetable, fruit, and milk every day. Our snacks are a variety of whole grains, vegetables, fruit, and a glass of water or juice. We also post our menus on the calendar section of our website.
Q: What time do the children nap?
A: We have a nap time from 12:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.
Q: What does my child do if they don’t nap?
A: We have a small group time for those who don’t nap. They have a short rest time followed by a learning time. During the learning time there is an activity time, center play, and a gym activity. We finish with a book time as the nappers begin to join us.
